Bird Detection Thermal Imaging (Hot Earth/Dark Nights)
I see many birds while hiking with the thermal imager at night. Most are sleeping, some are nocturnal birds of pray. When they are asleep they let me come right up to them despite a noisy approach.FlirGuy I try to respond to all requests for information so if you don’t receive a reply within a couple of days please try again. How did technologies such as satellites, observatories and space shuttles impact our study of astronomy?
How did these inventions help us understand and study astronomy more in other words.
Moose in My Living Room (Hot Earth/Dark Nights)
This is a very young baby moose that was rescued by a lady who found it caught in a fence. The moose spent the night with me and then in the morning I transported it to a nearby wildlife hospital. There he will be treated and an attempt will be made to foster him out to a new mother. My cats are veteran hosts, accustomed to me bringing home all sorts of animals. This however was quite a stretch for them. He was much more cordial than most of my rescue guests, especially compared to the half frozen, feral cats I’ve often sheltered.FlirGuy I try to respond to all requests for information so if you don’t receive a reply within a couple of days please try again. How much more powerful do telescopes have to get before we can see things we left on the moon?
How much more powerful do earth based telescopes need to be before we can see that close onto the moon?
10x 20x, 10000x ?
How many years away are we from having that technology needed?
Could the Hubble do it? How big would the lunar dune buggy we left have to be in order to be seen by Earth based telescopes? How big would it have to be for the Hubble to see it?
Please try to answer in layman’s terms…I understand optics a little bit but not professional astronomy.
Does anyone else believe that life exists in other planets?
does anyone else besides me wonder whats out in the universe? I mean there are billions of galaxies out there and we don’t even know what kind of planets exists… im just so curious about that. i wish we had the technology to visit other planets!!! thats what makes me so mad.. i just want to know whats out there.. cause i do believe that maybe there are other more advanced species then us… does anyone know how long it would take to visit the nearest galaxy to ours..? have any of yall thought about something that would wipe out the entire universe and stuff.. then what would happen? there would be no type of life around or anything!! (i’m interested in astronomy)
What are some really cool advances in technology, astronomy and science in 2009 ?
I am 15 and have grown EXTREMELY interested in the advances of human tech and science. Did we discover anything new ? Did we build something new ? What about in astronomy ? Did we discover something about space ? Can you tell me
D or send links to a page where I can read all about things like this ? thank you ![]()
it doesn’t need to be only 2009 :p thanks just in the last 5 yrs or less
